Program Overview

The aim of the Pharmaceutical Botany course at Nanjing Agricultural University is to introduce the herbs and herbal teas that are used for therapeutic and self-medication. Educational objectives of the course are to learn : basic concept of Pharmaceutical Botany; presentation of morphological knowledge of medicinal plants as theoretical and practical; orphological properties of herbal tissues and their application in plant identification will be teached and principles, morphological properties of root, stem, leaves, flower, inflorescens, fruit and seed, identification keys and use of identificaiton keys.
