The Doctoral Programme in Mathematics and Statistics educates doctors in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics, with a strong mathematician's or statistician's identity, a deep understanding of mathematical/statistical concepts and methods and of their application and significance, excellent abilities for independent research or expert work, ability for critical and creative thinking.

If you have completed or are completing your degree, an official transcript of records must be submitted to the Admissions Services of the University of Helsinki by the awarding institution, IELTS of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in the writing section, TOEFL IBT 92, a minimum score of 22 in the writing section, TOEFL PBT 580.
