Program Overview

In the programme in Materials Research and Nanosciences the doctoral student will get deeply acquainted with the selected branch of materials research. In addition a more general view of materials research will be obtained. The employed research methods are both experimental and computational. The programme is extensive rendering possible personal study modules. The doctoral programme has research teams as members from physics, chemistry and pharmacy. The doctoral degree can be obtained from experimental materials physics, inorganic materials chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, nanosciences, polymer materials chemistry, molecular spectroscopy, biophysics, medical physics, computational materials physics, computational materials chemistry, electronics and industrial applications. The doctoral theses are as a rule completed within a research team active in one of these topics. This guarantees individual supervision for the doctoral students.
