The division of Biosphere Resource Science and Technology consists of a total of 18 professional disciplines including cooperative graduate school programs. The first unit of disciplines, biological resource science, focuses on plant genetics and breeding, crop science, olericulture and floriculture, pomology and postharvest physiology of fruits, animal science, bio-production systems and applied science of food resources.
Persons who have graduated from a foreign country's university located in Japan (after an 18-year education period at the time of graduation) which is recognized by the Japanese Minister of Education as a foreign country's educational facility. Those who have obtained a Master's Degree, and those who are expected to complete their Master's Degree by March of the year in which they intend to enter the program are eligible to apply.
