Program Overview

During the thesis work, the doctoral student will have to characterize the geometric, genetic and temporal relationships between fracturing, large-scale deformations and architectures of sedimentary deposits.This will be made by using an original multi-scale approach, from micrometer up to kilometers, in order to produce at a 3D synthetic vision of the structural map of the Paris Basin for the Cenozoic.The tectonic processes at the origin of these deformations will be confronted with this 3D structural diagram enriched with new geochronological data.
