The University of Zurich has been offering the Doctoral Program Biomedical Ethics and Law (PhD BmEL) since the fall semester 2009. The PhD BmEL is jointly conducted by the Law Faculty and the Faculty of Medicine and is the first of its kind in Switzerland. It is one of the cross-faculty doctoral programs newly introduced at the University of Zurich
