Profession of Farm Structures and Irrigation discipline is interested in optimum utilization, conservation and development of water resources, soil-plant-water relations, storage of water, water transmission and distribution structures, land levelling, farm roads, farm irrigation systems, drainage systems, land reclamation, land consolidation, and surveying, feasibility, planning, designing, application and controlling of like these soil and water utilization development projects, controlling environmental condition in farm structures, planning, designing and construction of farmyard, rural houses, cattle barns, sheep barns, poultries, greenhouses, mushroom producing structures, sheds, cereal and feed silos, fruit and vegetable storage structures, manure management, biogas systems and waste water systems structures. In addition these, rural settlement planning, environmental controlling, agricultural information systems, structural and physical development of farm enterprises with the modern technology, generating mathematical models related to agricultural and biological systems in engineering problems subjects are included in this discipline.
