The Doctoral Programme of Adult Education was first established in 1968 as "Popular Education". The programme has gone through some changes and as a result it has changed into "Lifelong Learning and Adult Education" in 2009. The adult education doctoral programme is conducted by 2 professors, 2 associated professors and 1 lecturer. Priority for acceptance to the programme is given to the graduates of the master's degree.
