PhD Physics Engineering

The doktorate degree program in Engineering Physics are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Institute of Natural Sciences of Ankara University. The doctorate program shall consist of courses, the workshop study, the competency examination, the thesis proposal course and the thesis study. The duration for completing the doctorate program is eight semesters. The students who have completed the credits and fulfilled the other conditions may enter the competency examination. The competency examinations shall be arranged and executed by the Doctorate Competency Committee. For the students who succeeded the competency examination, a thesis monitoring committee shall be formed. The student who succeeded the doctorate competency examination shall defend in front of the thesis monitoring committee his/her thesis proposal covering the aim, method and workplan of the research. The students in doctorate program have to defend their theses in front of the jury and audience. Successfully thesis examination and fullfilling the other conditions, the student shall be entitled to receive Doctorate Diplom.
