Program Overview

The language of education of the PhD Program in Linguistics is Turkish. However, due to the nature of the field, it is highly significant for the students to have command of at least one foreign language, both in terms of having a distinct sensitivity for the language system in general and being able to follow up resource materials. Having a Bachelor's o Master's Degree in Linguistics is not a prerequisite for application. Yet, Scientific Preparation is a must for the candidates with a different major.
