Program Overview

Language of education of the PhD Program in Foreign Language Teaching is Turkish. However, due to its being a sub-field of Linguistics, it is highly significant for the students to have command of at least one foreign language, both in terms of having a distinct sensitivity for the language system in general and being able to follow up resource materials. Having a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the field is not a prerequisite for the application. Yet, Scientific Preparation is a must for the candidates with a different major.

Must have a master's degree, %50 of ALES degree, %20 of undergraduate grade-point average, %30 of the written exam , at least 65 average degree.
