In the School of Dentistry; 1 professor, 1 expert and 3 research assistants and 2 units with the name of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery began service with the name in 1963. Minor operating room was opened in 1966. Maxillofacial Surgery service with 10 beds was opened in the Faculty of Medicine in 1967. Thus, the first inpatient services was generated in dentistry. In 1977 the building was moved to the Faculty of Dentistry in Be evler began to serve in a part of the second floor
