PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education

The Post Doctoral Students in Counseling and Counselor Education, study developmental theory, coupled with the design and implementation of preventive interventions based on this model and clinical counseling theory and practice. Moreover Students learn to communicate research in oral and written form in order to make contributions to the field of study and to participate in scholarly communities relevant to area of specialization. Finally Students analyze how to critique relevant theory within literature or specialized area, ask theoretically driven questions grounded in thorough knowledge of relevant literature and utilize appropriate application of qualitative and quantitative research methods to address research questions.
