This is a joint University at Buffalo-Buffalo State College program designed for those who already hold a masters degree in special education. A combination of coursework, internships, field experiences, and original research provides a comprehensive background in special education for those who aspire to academic appointments in universities or colleges, or leadership roles in school systems. Graduates of LAI's doctoral programs are prepared for research, teaching, and administrative posts in colleges and universities and for positions of educational leadership in the schools or in state education departments.
