Program Overview

The program prepares students for higher education teaching, research, and community engagement, and culminates in an Ed.D. in Special Education. We are committed to first-person perspectives, community partnerships, and engaged scholarship for the purpose of creating a better, more just world. Our aim is to prepare educators and leaders who are involved in collective, transformative, and anti-oppressive work that draws from, critiques, and contributes to various perspectives on disability and equity in education to support self advocacy and/or walk in solidarity with people with disabilities.
