Program Overview

The graduate reading program consists of a series of courses and related practicum experiences designed to help classroom teachers and resource room specialists increase knowledge and skill as teachers of literacy. The program is designed to enable candidates with at least one year of teaching to meet Massachusetts licensure standards for Teacher of Reading. The program conforms to the guidelines of the International Reading Association. The Programs of Study consists of foundation courses, courses in language and literacy, and practical experiences as a teacher of reading.
