Program Overview

The PH.D in Mechanical Engineering would be able students to study three fundamental components of the program. First how to apply knowledge of advanced concepts (i.e., concepts beyond those learned during the master of science program) in engineering mathematics and two out of three areas of specializations offered in the department (mechanical systems, energy systems, manufacturing systems).Second how to communicate ideas (specific to an area of specialization) via peerreviewed published and/or presented materials. Third how to conduct original research in a chosen area of specialization. Finally Students would be able to analyze that the engineering course work and research are augmented by laboratory studies
