DNP Healthcare Systems Leadership

4 Years On Campus Phd Program

University of San Francisco

Program Overview

The Healthcare Systems Leadership plan of study of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program is designed to prepare students to assume leadership and care management roles across the continuum of care delivery in the emerging health care delivery system. The program prepares Registered Nurses (RN) who hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) to take on greater leadership roles. The Healthcare Systems Leadership option is ideal for BSN nurses seeking a DNP. This option is designed to reduce the time-to-degree for a master's and doctorate degree for BSNs. Students can opt to complete their requirements with or whiteout a master's in Nursing (Clinical Nurse Leader). Upon completion, you will have fulfilled the required coursework and practice hours to meet the AACN Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice.
