Post MSN Adult and Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration

2 Years On Campus Phd Program

University of North Carolina Greensboro

Program Overview

The Post-MSN DNP students use their Masters expertise and during the DNP course of study the core DNP outcomes are achieved. The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) specialty program is in the Department of Community Health Systems (DCHS), whose mission is to promote and sustain health in the community and workplace, with particular emphasis on culturally diverse and high-risk populations. In light of this aim, DCHS NP faculty members prepare AGPCNPs, advanced practice nurses, to assess and manage adult health and common acute and chronic illnesses, including HIV/AIDS. Our AGPCNPs emphasize prevention, wellness, and patient education in all patient interactions.
