Weber State University's DNP degree Pre pares nurses to be expert leaders who focus on the application of evidence to inform nursing practice through the creation and implementation of innovative strategies that improve health systems and influence health consumer outcomes. Building on the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials, the DNP is the highest practicefocused degree in nursing and is designed to Pre pare experts in specialized advanced practice nursing.

Applicants must have a minimum of 60 graded (3.0 or better); Earned master's degree; Current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse or eligible to obtain licensure without restrictions to practice as a registered nurse in your state. Must be an RN in your state of residence prior to the program beginning; Submission of all documents, curriculum vitae/resume, essay, transcripts; Applicants for whom English is not their first language, a minimum English language proficiency score is required. (TOEFL = 75 overall, with a minimum of 17 in each Category: OR IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each category). Students with a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionallyaccredited (or equivalent) university in which the language of instruction was English may be exempt from Englishlanguage proficiency testing; A working knowledge of statistics is encouraged.
