Program Overview

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program comprises three academic years of undergraduate study and three calendar years of professional graduate study. The DPT program has a longstanding history of excellence in clinical education and has enjoyed continuous CAPTE accreditation for more than 60 years. The PT program is highly competitive with a class-size of only 42 students, smaller than many other programs in the country. The undergraduate portion of the curriculum is completed as an exercise science major in the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. Students who follow the first three years of the exercise science (ES) curriculum will have completed all the prerequisite coursework for the DPT program.
