The doctoral training program in clinical psychology at the University of Maine prepares students for the doctorate (Ph.D.) in psychology and for careers combining research and clinical practice. The clinical training program has two tracks: General Clinical and Child Clinical. The first offers broad-based, generalist training preparing students for work with children, adolescents, and adults. Students in the General Clinical Track complete coursework, clinical training, and child, adolescent, and adult practicum experiences. The Child Clinical Track offers more in-depth, specialized training for students wanting to work with children, adolescents, and families.
