Juris Doctor Part Time

4 Years On Campus Phd Program

University of San Francisco

Program Overview

The four-year Part-Time JD Program offers the same rigorous education, supportive community, and co-curricular opportunities as the full-time program, but with increased flexibility that allows for work, caretaking, and other responsibilities. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., with occasional sessions on Friday and Saturday. Evening classes during summer sessions add flexibility to the schedule. A part-time student may accelerate coursework after the first year and earn a JD in three and a half years or may transfer to the full-time division. For the JD degree, students must earn at least 84 units of course credit, including 38 units in required core courses. In the part-time program, required courses are concentrated in the first and second years.
