Program Overview

The University of Cincinnati Department of Psychology offers the PhD in Psychology. Students may apply to the experimental training program or the APA-accredited training program in clinical psychology. The department trains doctoral-level researchers, primarily in the areas of health psychology, experimental and human factors, and neuropsychology. Students with interests outside these areas may apply for admission if their interests correspond closely to those of at least one faculty member. The doctoral program is limited to full-time students who show outstanding promise, as demonstrated by undergraduate achievement, Graduate Record Exam scores, and recommendation letters. The program is also open to students who have earned a master s degree from another institution.
