Program Overview

The program integrates both biological and clinical sciences. The heaviest concentration of basic science material is in the first year of study. During that year, the student is expected to choose a research topic and to write a protocol for presentation to the faculty and other graduate students. The second year of study emphasizes clinical endodontics including conventional treatment, retreatment, management of emergencies, endodontics and surgery. Residents devote a significant amount of time and effort to completion of their research projects.
