Program Overview

The Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner AGPCNP specialty promotes and sustains health in the community and workplace, with particular emphasis on culturally diverse and high risk populations. Faculty members prepare AGPCNPs to assess and manage the health care of adolescents, adults, and older adults with common acute and multiple chronic conditions. Our AGPCNPs emphasize health promotion and maintenance in all patient interactions. Our AGPCNP graduates practice in community and hospital-based primary care clinics, in patient s homes, in sub acute skilled nursing facilities, and in long-term care settings.
