Program Overview

Jurisprudence is the science of law, its manifestations, its application and its effects. The doctoral program offers outstanding students the opportunity to conduct research in all areas of law and at the same time offers them courses that systematically support their progress and enable them to complete a doctorate within a reasonable time. The degree program is part of a concept for the promotion of young talent that spans the individual professorships and institutes of the department and which networks and supports the research achievements of the individual doctoral students.Students can get to know and apply new approaches to legal research in dialogue with supervisors and other doctoral students. In order to expand their own research perspective, to discover intra- and interdisciplinary connections and to further develop their own personality, students can take numerous regularly offered courses from the four profile areas of the doctoral program (European and international law, commercial and tax law, commercial criminal law as well as state, administration, economy). Attend doctoral seminars and colloquia, workshops and many other events
