School History & Details

The first class of students at Abbey Gate College enrolled on September 8, 1977. Offering a grammar school curriculum and helping each child reach their full potential were the goals. At the time, no one in the Chester region was providing this, and it quickly became apparent that this group would lead the way in parentally established schools across the United Kingdom.
