On September 13, 2002, Adamstown Public School commemorated 125 years of instruction. In July 1877, the school was founded in the Methodist chapel, which is now the location of the district education office. A new four-room teacher's residence and a two-room school building were finished two years later. In actuality, the institution has had three locations since its founding. The first was this plot of land near the intersection of Brunker and Glebe Roads, while the second was a department store for infants located on Narara Road. Built and inaugurated as the Adamstown Public School in 1879 to cater to the densely populated area after multiple mines were established nearby. It was reopened as the Adamstown Teacher's Center in 1973 after closing as a school in 1971. Today, it serves as the Department of Education's regional headquarters.
Adamstown Public School appreciate collaborating in a supportive neighborhood setting. Equal opportunities for everyone through collaborative, respectful, and positive connections are important to them.
