AKS Lytham, also known as ArnoldKEQMS, is an independent day school that accommodates both male and female students. The institution is situated in Lancashire, England, specifically on the Fylde. The formation of the school is attributed to the merging of the King Edward VII and Queen Mary School (KEQMS) which is located in Lytham St. Annes, and the Arnold School in Blackpool. The 35-acre coastal site in Lytham St Annes houses the school. As a member of HMC and part of the United Church Schools Trust family, AKS Lytham is also a member of the Round Square group, which consists of schools in 50 countries. A distinctive programme that the school offers involves the use of the local Lytham beaches. Lectures from the Lytham St Annes Classical Association, a subsidiary of the Classical Association, are hosted by the school. Initially known as ArnoldKEQMS from 2012-2014, it has since been referred to as AKS Lytham.

In 2023, of the students who sat for A levels at AKS Lytham: • 83% were successful in securing spots at their first-choice universities • Every student who held offers from either Oxford or Cambridge attained success • Every student who had offers for medicine or dentistry courses also achieved success.

Non-Academic Achievements

AKS Lytham offers a broad co-curricular programme which encompasses various activities including sports, music, creative and academic clubs. This allows our students to expand their skills in leadership and develop a sense of social responsibility through involvement in our school council, Round Square committees and fundraising for charity.  The co-curricular programme operates before school, during lunchtime, and after school, with changes made to it each term. Furthermore, we encourage and support our students to create their own clubs if their interests aren't met by our existing programme.
