Al Bateen Academy is a co-educational school established in 2011. It is a family-oriented school that aims to provide learning opportunities in a safe and caring environment. The school has experienced and qualified staff that provides education both inside and outside of the classroom. It offers British and International Baccalaureate curricula. The school has more than 800 students and 60 different nationalities. In 2019, the school re-opens its Primary Year Programme. It is one of the largest education providers in Abu Dhabi.

The students performed very well in academics. They have achieved an average of 35 points and a 100% passing rate. Students gain good grades in the IB diploma and I/GCSE. According to the records in 2019, 44 students get graduated from the IB diploma program.
