Al Noori Muslim School

Al Noori Muslim School is a renowned educational institution that caters to both boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. Situated in the vibrant neighborhood of Greenacre, the school was established in the early 1980s by a group of esteemed community leaders who envisioned a local school that would embody the principles of Islamic teachings. Initially operating from a modest house in Lakemba with just six students and a few dedicated teachers, the school has come a long way. Throughout its journey, the school has experienced remarkable growth, leading to multiple relocations. From the Sunshine Hall in Canterbury to a temporary marquee in a backyard, the school has persevered. In 1987, after extensive deliberations and legal proceedings, Al Noori Muslim School opened its doors to primary school children from Kindergarten to Year 6. This momentous occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter in the school's history. Encouraged by its success and the increasing demand for quality education, the school decided to establish a dedicated high school campus. In 2009, the first cohort of Year 7 students was welcomed into the high school, and their numbers steadily grew. Under the guidance of a strong team of leaders and teachers, the high school thrived, fostering academic excellence and instilling confidence in its students. Recognizing the need for expansion, plans were made for a new high school facility in early 2010. With the support of funds generated by the school, a magnificent state-of-the-art campus was unveiled in 2013. This new facility provided students with a conducive learning environment, equipped with modern amenities and resources. Throughout its journey, the school has remained committed to providing a holistic education, ensuring the overall development of its students.
