School History & Details

After realizing the value of educating young children in an Islamic environment, Mr. Omar Hallak, the founder of the Islamic Schools of Victoria (Werribee College) Inc., founded the Al-Taqwa College in June 1986. Sayers Road saw the acquisition of more than 50 acres with this concept in mind. With just one portable and 25 students overall when the first academic year started, the college was well on its way to become an excellent place to learn. Since its founding, the college has expanded significantly and now offers instruction from the Preparatory years up to the VCE. In Tarneit, on Derrimut Road, Al-Taqwa College developed a campus dedicated to agriculture and horticulture. The campus is currently offering nationally recognized and accredited training and assessment services with RTO accreditation.
