By 1867, Alexandra's first elementary school for younger students had established. Only younger children who weren't yet of working age were probably in school at this time. The majority of older kids have to work to support their families financially. 300 school-age children were in and around the township, according to school inspector Mr. Brown, because over 1,200 miners had settled down there. When Alexandra Primary School was initially founded in 1867, its main goal was to better assist the district's families with the community's expanding educational needs. The goals are still the same today, but they are now achieved by a committed group of qualified instructors and support personnel, the application of cutting-edge technology, and a stimulating environment that fosters a secure and stimulating learning environment.
