In February 2016, Alkimos Primary School commenced its operations, catering to students from Kindy to Year 6. With an initial enrollment of 215 students, the school primarily serves the eastern region of the suburb, stretching from Romeo Road in the north to Butler Boulevard in the south. Notably, in 2019, Alkimos Primary School was chosen as one of the sixteen Western Australian public schools to host the esteemed Specialised Learning Program- Autism Spectrum Disorder (SLP-ASD).

Specialised Learning Program (SLP) for Autism Spectrum Disorder: Since 2019, Alkimos Primary has been one of 16 public schools in Western Australia to offer the SLP, supporting students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program emphasizes age-appropriate academic engagement while enhancing communication, organizational, socialization, and self-regulation skills.  Interschool Athletics Success: In 2021, the school achieved a remarkable victory at the interschool athletics carnival, winning by over 100 points.

Sports and Physical Activities: The school offers various sports programs, including Girls AFL, Lacrosse, Basketball, Soccer, and Rugby. Notably, both Lacrosse teams and the girls’ Basketball team secured victories at the Summer Carnival.  Cultural and Educational Events: Alkimos Primary hosts events like Science Week, featuring hands-on activities and incursions from organizations like SciTech.  Community Initiatives: The school organizes events such as the annual Lapathon, which in 2021 raised over $8,000, demonstrating strong community support and involvement.
