School History & Details

All Hallows Preparatory School was established in 1938 by Francis Dix, initially as an institution for boys. Post World War II, the school relocated to Cranmore Hall, an illustrious Grade II* structure which was the previous residence of Sir Richard and Lady Muriel Paget, and was used as a maternity hospital during the war. In 1971, the school started admitting both boys and girls. 2006 marked the introduction of the Crane Wing, a modern classroom block. The school’s name, Cranmore, originated from Crane's Mere, reflecting the history of the local bird and its native wetland habitat. In 2007, the school made an addition to the reception classroom. They inaugurated a Creative Centre in 2014, providing facilities for Art, Creative Design, and Photography.
