Non-Academic Achievements

Altdorf International School in Switzerland offers a rich array of non-academic programs that foster personal growth, leadership, and global awareness among its students. The school emphasizes holistic development through diverse extracurricular activities, including clubs focused on dance, science and technology, debate, cooking, poetry, business, newsletters, and astronomy. A unique feature is the student-run animal shelter, where students care for animals such as ponies, rabbits, chickens, and goats, promoting responsibility and compassion.    The school’s location near the Swiss Alps and Lake Lucerne provides students with opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, rowing, and mountain biking, integrating physical well-being with environmental appreciation.  On-campus sports facilities support a variety of athletic pursuits, including basketball, tennis, volleyball, football, swimming, badminton, and table tennis.    Altdorf International School also encourages students to engage in real-world experiences through collaborations with pharmaceutical companies and participation in United Nations World Tourism Organization meetings, allowing them to apply academic knowledge in practical settings.  These initiatives, along with regular excursions and events both within Switzerland and abroad, contribute to a well-rounded education that prepares students for global citizenship.
