School History & Details

Amaroo School was built to accommodate students in kindergarten through year ten. On May 19, 2004, Ms. Katy Gallager, MLA, Minister of Education, Youth, and Family Services, officially launched the school's first part. In 2004, they welcomed 154 pupils in their inaugural intake, ranging in age from Kindergarten to Year 5. Year 8 students began participating in 2005, followed by Year 9 students in 2006 and Year 10 students in 2007. Amaroo School currently has 1971 pupils and has been a preschool through year 10 since the Preschool was incorporated in 2008.
