On January 28, 2015, Ambrose Treacy College opened with much fanfare. There was a lot of interest and demand for spots when the Catholic College for boys in Years 4 through 12 was first established. This desire has only grown yearly, with an ever-increasing waitlist of students. Ambrose Treacy College is a Catholic institution following the Edmund Rice tradition. Ambrose Treacy College mentors boys through their crucial years of transitioning into manhood by fusing the vitality and excitement of a new institution with the rich legacy of eight decades of delivering excellent boys' education on this location.

Outstanding ATAR Results: In 2022, 12% of ATC’s ATAR-eligible students achieved an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5% of the state. This remarkable achievement is recognized through the prestigious Brother Patrick Ambrose Treacy Medal.  Comprehensive Academic Success: All Year 12 students in 2022 successfully completed their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) or Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA), reflecting the school’s commitment to supporting diverse learning pathways.  Recognition of Excellence: The college celebrates academic excellence through events like the Scholars’ Assembly, where students are acknowledged for their achievements, including Subject Awards and Excellence in Vocational Education.
