American School Dhahran was established in 1962. It is a co-ed and not-for-profit school that provides education to students from KG 1 to Grade 12. In 2021, Dhahran Elementary middle school and Dhahran High school combined to form American School Dhahran. The school follows the national curriculum of America. Around 1,120 students are studying in the school and belong to 54 different nationalities. The school is committed to providing a positive learning environment for students with world-class education.

In 2022 the students achieve a score of 34 points by IB diploma and 92% of AP students achieve scores of 3+. The students of grades 10 and 11 give the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude tests and secure good grades.
