George Feather Lawrence (1901–1981): An acclaimed Australian impressionist painter, Lawrence was born in Annandale and attended South Annandale Public School. He later studied at the Julian Ashton Art School and gained recognition for his landscape paintings, including winning the Wynne Prize in 1949.
