All of their graduates attend universities in Hawaii, the mainland, and around the world. In 2018, 11% of students matriculated to the world's top ten universities, with another 80% securing slots in the top 30.

Non-Academic Achievements

APIS prioritizes comprehensive development through a range of extracurricular and community-oriented programs. Project-Based Learning (PBL) allows students to address real-world challenges, collaborate with experts, and showcase their solutions in exhibitions, enhancing their practical skills and critical thinking abilities. The New Pacific Century Scholars Program offers high school students the opportunity to engage in three-week internships with local businesses, providing them with valuable hands-on experience and insights into various industries. Additionally, students participate in agricultural activities by planning, planting, and maintaining the school’s working farm and garden beds, which fosters a sense of sustainability and responsibility. The house system, consisting of Mano, Koa, Pohaku, and Mo’o, promotes community spirit and connections across different grade levels. Language and cultural programs in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese immerse students in East Asian languages and cultures from K-12. Furthermore, annual events such as the guitar concert allow students to display their artistic talents, while APIS supports physical health and teamwork through 22 interscholastic sports, including swimming, surfing, and water polo.
