Avondale Primary School, located in Avondale Heights, which is 12 kilometers north-west of Melbourne's CBD, was established in 1961. Since then, the school has seen a steady increase in enrolments, currently reaching 443 students, with around 25% of them speaking a language other than English at home. Our school's vision is to create a community that prioritizes excellence in learning, engagement, and overall well-being. We strive to provide an inclusive environment where every student feels secure, content, involved, and motivated to succeed academically. Our teaching practices are guided by the Victorian Curriculum, ensuring that student learning, engagement, and well-being are at the forefront of our Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). This year, we have introduced the Respectful Relationships program school-wide, and we continue to focus on maintaining a Child Safe and positive environment through the School Wide Positive Behaviours approach.
