The idea to establish Balcombe Grammar School was first conceived in 2003. Fay Weston had the dream, and in the years that followed, she showed incredible fortitude and resolve to see to it that a coeducational school founded on Christian principles was founded in Mount Martha. Several locals, including Evelyn Sayers, Reverend John Leaver, and Barry Steggall, gave Fay support in 2004 and 2005. The ambition had come true by 2006, and following several well-received public briefings, 30 students were registered at Balcombe Grammar School for the 2007 academic year. These pupils started their study at the Balcombe Grammar Mount Martha site in 2008, along with an additional 116 children. The school expanded rapidly after this, going from just eight classrooms to the fantastic facility it is now, housing over 950 kids.

The Class of 2023 has demonstrated impressive academic performance, achieving a median ATAR of 72.75, which positions the top half of students within the top 27.25% across the state. Among the standout achievements, Luke Hanna earned the title of DUX with an exceptional ATAR of 97.3, while Mischa Gayfer, serving as Casey House Captain, was recognized as Proxime Accessit with an ATAR of 96.4. These accomplishments highlight the students' resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
