Banksia Park International High School

Banksia Park High School was founded in 1973 and initially operated from portable buildings on the Modbury High School premises. In September of the same year, the staff and students were relocated to the current facilities on Milne Road in Banksia Park, which is situated approximately 20km northeast of Adelaide. The school boasts a sprawling eight-hectare campus, comprising sports fields and native gardens. Initially, the school experienced a rapid increase in student enrollment, reaching a peak of 1450 in 1978. However, due to local demographic changes, the number of enrolled students has gradually declined over the years. To supplement the declining enrollment, the school has welcomed international students. As of 2015, the student population stood at 695. In around 2001, Banksia Park High School underwent a name change and became known as Banksia Park International High School. The school has earned accreditation from the Council of International Schools for its exceptional international standards. Additionally, it has established a sister school in Himeji, Japan, and offers language studies in Japanese and German.
