In 1986, Bede Polding College was founded. Under the direction and leadership of the Good Samaritan Sisters and Marist Brothers, the college was established. Since its initial class of 112 students, the institution has served around 1200 students in Years 7 through 12. As a man of faith and action, the college is inspired by Australia's first bishop, John Bede Polding, who also serves as their patron. His desire to live a life motivated by the Gospel and in service to others is consistent with the college motto, "Called to bring peace."

HSC Excellence: In 2024, Mikaylah Dimech from Bede Polding College achieved First in Course in Studies of Religion II in the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC). Her dedication and hard work were recognized by the school and the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese.  HSC First-in-Course Recognition: In December 2022, Bede Polding College was honored with a Ministerial Commendation for Resilience at the HSC First-in-Course ceremony. This recognition was awarded to the college for demonstrating exceptional resilience during the challenges posed by multiple floods in the Hawkesbury region.

Duke of Edinburgh Gold Awards: Eight Bede Polding College alumni received their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award from the Governor of New South Wales. This prestigious award recognizes young individuals for their commitment to personal development and community service.  Community Engagement: The college actively participates in community service initiatives, including fundraising and awareness campaigns for various causes. For instance, students and staff were featured in the Hawkesbury Gazette for raising money and awareness for blood cancer.

Dr. Thomas Fienberg: A 2004 graduate and former school captain, Dr. Fienberg is a music educator who was nominated for the 2020 ARIA Music Teacher of the Year Award. He now runs the “Solid Ground” program at Evans High School, providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with a safe space to explore their cultural identities through music.
