Belconnen High School is a key component of the Hawker Collegiate of Schools, working in close partnership with Hawker Primary School and Hawker College to create a seamless educational journey for students from early years through to senior secondary education. 

The Pinnacle Enrichment Program (PEP) is available for academically gifted students, offering them stimulating and rigorous learning experiences that emphasize the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and digital literacy across core subjects.

Through its partnership with the University of Canberra, Belconnen High School enhances its teaching methodologies and professional development opportunities, implementing initiatives like “Country as Teacher” and the “8 Ways of Learning” to foster culturally responsive teaching practices.

The Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association is instrumental in strengthening the connection between the school and the community, providing valuable feedback on school needs and actively supporting various programs through regular meetings and participation in decision-making.

Collaborating with the Rotary Club of Belconnen, the school benefits from scholarships and additional resources that enhance student programs, thereby enriching the educational experience for high school students in the region.

The partnership with the Ginninderra Rats Basketball Club is significant for Belconnen High School, as it serves as a primary venue for the club's activities, promoting a vibrant sports culture and offering students numerous opportunities to participate in basketball programs.
