Belgrave Primary School was established in 1907 with the motive of providing young students with the space where they can learn and grow wild feeling safe. The school believes that it is the responsibility of the staff as well as all the members of the school administration to provide all the facilities to students welfare on the school campus. Teachers actively take the use of the natural environment and teaching resources to make students understand various concepts. The school has always believed in putting a lot of stress on making the school feel like a healthy and safe environment for students where they can express their opinions properly.

ANZAC Day Schools’ Awards: In 2012, the school was honored as the national winner in the ‘Best Veteran and Community Involvement’ category. This accolade recognized the school’s collaboration with 39th Battalion Kokoda veteran Alan ‘Kanga’ Moore, where students engaged in writing stories, attending ANZAC Day services, and raising funds for a memorial at the base of the 1000 Steps . NAPLAN Performance: The school has consistently demonstrated strong performance in National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests. For instance, in 2018, Year 5 numeracy results reflected the effectiveness of the school’s numeracy instruction, showing continued strong performance compared to state and similar schools .
