The connection between Mr. Symonds and Mr. Carthew, the Mount Gambier and Glossop High Schools have been exchanging ideas since 1947. Two new tennis courts, a newly planted oval, and new commercial classrooms were also constructed. On the Junior portion, new brickwork got underway in January. On October 17, the new open space unit was officially opened by the Minister of Education. The school later renamed its name to Berry Regional Secondary College.
