School History & Details

The New South Wales Society for Crippled Children managed Beverley Park Estate, a disability institution that officially commenced operations in 1938 on a 30-acre property as a holiday and respite home. In addition to this, from the early 1940s, Beverley Park also functioned as a children’s orthopaedic hospital, and in 1942, a school was established on the premises for the residents. By 1956, it transitioned to providing long-term residential care for severely disabled young individuals. In 1998, the NSW Government acquired Beverley Park, and the Beverley Park School continues to operate on the same site. The original accommodation at Beverley Park now houses Lomandra School.

Nanga Mai Awards: Beverley Park School has been recognized through the NSW Department of Education’s Nanga Mai Awards, which celebrate excellence in Aboriginal education across public schools.  Premier’s Spelling Bee: Students from the school have participated in the Premier’s Spelling Bee, an annual competition that encourages primary students to develop their spelling skills in a fun and educational way.
